Words of encouragement in dark times

Contributed by zenmind on Friday, 3rd December 2004 @ 01:21:20 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Careful now. Do not show your fear.
It would not do justice to the fight between tears and grace.
Do not succumb to the bottom ocean floor.

Have you ever thought of a day without judgement?
Maybe a flicker of words will light this tunnel.
A pinhole of spae.
Spacious pinholes of freedom.

There is no tear clogging the poors of this age.
Only an imaginary demon,
preventing clothes from being thrown to the floor.
This whole dream is imaginary.

Breathe it in and let it out.
Spacious.
Like a groove in a record.
An exact spot of truth.
This place. Every place. A lesson to be learned.

Do not question whether this is right.
You are here. So learn this lesson wisely,
and nothing will be a mistake.

Do not listen to fear!
Be strong. Fight through it,
and you will find yourself laughing,
and you will know that it is all a joke.

If you don't learn, then the joke is on you.
You will never understand the funny matters of fear.
You will be controlled by your doubts.
Do not let this happen!

Be afraid. It's ok.
Just don't run away,
like a coward afraid of his own shadow.

Life is a song embedded in the trees,
and the wind blows through them,
a flute of fury and melody.

Listen to these instruments,
and the song will remind you of your song,
and that will be the only thing that matters.

Do not lie on your grave waiting to dig a six foot trench,
and lie your body down to pretend a limp arm cannot be raised.
Be a frightened settler who is chased by wild boars,
and who does not know his fate,
yet lies forward the ground of his children's children.

Be an example to God that you can be
afraid and true.
