The Weight of Indifference

Ripped, straight-legged,
Across a palette, warm with infection,
Two lips bled ajar in a vivid stupor.
The latex was stretched from ear to ear,
Yet the blood bag still pulled its prize,
With the weight,
Of perspired convulsions and wet prostration.
The leper turned mocker,
When the pits of hell froze,
Into endless impossibilities,
And the sagging whore,
Clipped your fruitless wings.
Drop-jawed and counting,
As I watch midnight,
Inoculate your virgin diffidence.

I am envious of your skills and talent.
You have an active imagination, oozing gently, from the wounds of your piece.
An incredible gesture.
Imagery, forced, yet so eagerly accepted.
An extensive vocabulary as well as knowledge on the subject -perhaps due to your experiences?-
Such original concepts, indeed.
Brave and extraverted.
Wonderful, wonderful! |
