My Best Friend

Contributed by CrimsonTears on Thursday, 2nd December 2004 @ 08:55:26 PM in AEST
Topic: dedicatedpoems

You’re not only my best friend
Without you my world would end
I’ve known you for so many years
You’ve wiped away so many of my tears

That is why when I see you in pain
It feels as though my heart has been slain
In my arms I wish you could hide
So you would feel no pain inside

I would take all your pain and put it all on me
Because you in pain is something I cannot see
At my soul it will slowly tear
Until there is absolutely nothing there

When your mother died I didn’t know what to say
We started getting more distant with each passing day
But we never let go of the friendship we had
And believe me now I am more than glad

Because now I love you more than ever
I consider you my sister and you will be forever
So please don’t cry when other people get you down
Because I can’t stand to see you frown

But when I do I’ll be right by your side
Holding you in my arms, so you can hide
Until all your tears are wiped away
By your side I’ll surely stay

this poem is amazing. Your friend is lucky to have someone like you and I hope you shared your poem with her so she may enjoy it as we have. Hopefully it will bring her some joy.
