The drum
Beating so beautifully,
Rhythmic and melodic,
The sound is pure,
The sound is brisk.
The beat changes from slow to fast,
From swing to jazz,
Introducing new techniques.
Shining so brightly,
with sound so clear,
it changes my mood,
from dark to light.
The sound it produces when in play,
Is so beautifully ranged,
It’s hard to explain.
The sheer texture in its song,
Brings the song to an all new high.
The drum is beautiful,
Melodic and harmonic,
Without it, there would be no beat.
