I moved in late in 2001
The cold and winter air, kept all inside
Then as spring came about, my neighbors came out, one by one
I met you when you were out for a walk, the warm air did abide
You were just waiting on your retirement, March you did say
Then you decided to move over my way, only a half a block!
To enrich more of your landscaping talent of wondrous display
Just chatting as neighbors do, or a friendly visit coming to knock
You spreading your generosity, sharing your thoughtfulness
How I am blessed to have a friend in you
There for me, listening and doing, in my times of stress!
You take in a stray as my self, giving that you do
Everyone can see your heart is full of care
For all you have done, your family you share
The sweet gem of a friend you are
Tis my way to say Thank You, my dear
A gifted treasure of a brightly lit star
For the good Lord knew I needed an Angel near

This write will be a gift to my friend, Carol.
I use photo paper and pick themes and then put my poems on them for gifts.
