You asked me how I wanted to end my life
Well I sighed
And stared into the nothingness
Wishing nothing would stare back
I shook my head and turned to you
Your answer came spilling out
Later that night I lied in my bed
I could picture your face
But only your head
I could hear it asking
How I wanted to die
And I could hear my answer spilling out
I'll slit my wrists-
the right one first
And bleed my life away
I'll feel no pain
No need for a rag
Or I will lay down
In a bed of water
Drown my life away
Hear only my heart beating
Til I drown that out as well
Or maybe both
Maybe I'll slash open my veins
Submerge myself in water
Going out slowly
But not to the unknown
Drowning in blood that's my own
Now you have your answer
Just as I drift off to sleep
These thoughts fresh in my mind
An answer I didn't believe I'd find
I'm still staring into nothing
BUt this time with nothing staring back
