Oh my love, where I hide my tears,
I long with you to spend my years.
I touch your soft, sweet, red lips,
And know they could launch a thousand ships.
How often do I gaze to the sky,
and let out my lonely, mournful cry?
Yet, here I sit, another eve,
And like the drifting of fall’s leaves,
I think of you and your life,
And wonder, do I bring you anything but strife?
Is true happiness so hard to find?
If it was, would it be such kind?
I often wonder bout sacrifice,
and if we are but silly mice,
running ragged in a maze,
searching, longing, in a daze.
But it is this logic that I resist.
My mind filled in such a mist.
For it is you that clears the path,
causing me to ignore all wrath.
Not knowing what tomorrow
will unfold,
yet, this I know,
my heart is yours to hold.
So each day I look to you,
with moments we share far to few.
My heart longs to share this truth,
do you need some other proof?
And know that each time we part,
there is such sorrow within my heart.
I long to share an evening walk,
A night time kiss,
A bed time talk.
Though I am not always there,
I take you with me everywhere.
I hope you will do the same,
And keep our passion
this brilliant flame.
