Red Eyed Demons

Contributed by pixie on Thursday, 2nd December 2004 @ 02:26:30 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

They call out to me they want me,
Want me need me to set them free,
I tell them no, tell them I can’t,
As I know all they want to do is cause harm.

But I feel myself getting weaker as they call,
Temptation lives in me like a fiery ball,
I know that if I do set them free hell will have to be paid,
In a pool of my own blood I’ll have been laid.

Their screeching pierces my ears,
Makes me cry bloody tears,
I can’t keep a hold of my sanity when they are close,
Then they just disappear like a shadowy ghost.

I can see their eyes they are bloodshot & red,
That terrifying image will stay in my head,
For years I will suffer from terrors of the night,
Only the demons can hear my curdled plight.

I curl up trying to hide, hide far away,
Please tell the demons I don’t want to come out & play,
Haunted & scared is how I live my life,
Forever & eternity I sleep clutching my knife.

Wow, that sounds like me in the morning, before coffee.

Great write pixie. Try coffee on 'em, it soothes this stark raving beastie ... LOL

Pixie, A powerful write.
.....one thing about our fears you know
we are actually the one in control
As much as we hate our bad thoughts to be
Turning them over to our savior can set us free

A great write, I think writing, like you are doing, is a good way to cope.

Wonder wat the were smoking??
Ya jus face your demons one at a time. Then one day you'll realize they're gone.
Awesome writing.
