Pray For A Saviour (Explain Your Sin)

Contributed by faffeee on Thursday, 2nd December 2004 @ 10:09:29 AM in AEST
Topic: ChristianPoetry

a hallelujah falls from my lips
a sweet verse to pray for a saviour
god shows me no remorse as i plead for him
loyalty lost in painful realisation
can no longer house me in heaven

the sin falls from my touch
an unwanted life prays for a saviour
god will see me no more in his kingdom
high in the clouds i will not be welcome
for i am told i have done wrong

please lord, how can this be?
my rejection is imminent yet i did not apply
my belief is left empty, so you pass me by

please lord, can you explain?
this hurt that clutches me with unshakeable fear
crushes my hope and bleeds rivers of pain

no hymn nor prayer can fall from my heart
i cannot believe in a saviour
this hurt is the sin that condemns me
an eternity in the holy world will not be mine
whether i wish to pray for it or not.

You have put into words my heartache and pain. This is amazing to me, and as I have realized, God is Loving and forgiving- its people who are not. Keep you focus on God and not on Rhetoric, Doctrines or empty hopeless words that don't encourage. God is good- always, and forever caring. Blessings and hope to you.

this is very well written and I see that you understand what you need.... please, please embrace faith and seek Him who gives it.
