Little Brother

Contributed by suzy on Monday, 25th November 2002 @ 12:30:00 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

We look into your eyes
But you’re no longer there
Little brother where have you gone?
I know that life hasn’t been easy for you
Eight long years of hell you lived thru
So much pent up anger and frustration
You acted out before but never like this
Look at where you are now because of it
Sitting in juvenile hall waiting for a decision
Will you be tried as an adult or juvenile?
Grand theft auto and burglary being the charge
You weren’t the only one involved
Yet you’re the only one sitting in jail
Some kind of best friends you have huh
Each one of them pointed the blame to you
We can’t do anything for you now little brother
Just know that we love you and always will
One more thing with which we have to deal
One day you will come back to us
And we’ll be waiting to embrace you with open arms

How beautiful, a write to your brother. He will understand someday. It takes time for young people, who are more impressionable then the older adults, to see where they are in life, and who thier REAL friends are. Family will not always accept you, despite the tradgies of life. He has a good sister in you. Glad you do support him. Just keep praying for him.
always,
AmberRose :)

Lasca, this is a beautiful and touching poem.. one that has hit home for me because my little brother has been through the same thing and more.... I know how it feels......
I hope it all works out well for your brother and that he learns a lesson from this... Hugs,

This is so beautifully written
about your brother, i hppe one day
he see's this, i think it's beautiful
the way you share how much faith
and hope you have in him, and how
very much he's loved no matter

I feel for you so much ... the best you can do is just be there as you say in your last line. Good write.

What a loving sister you are. Unconditional love is the strongest love we have, and I see you have shown it very lovingly here in your poem. Dot
