The Path of a warrior

Contributed by zenmind on Wednesday, 1st December 2004 @ 01:36:48 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Farther now. Let us keep traveling.
I feel the next surge of awareness.
Like a mountain folding over,
all in consideration for the small man,
who stuggles to climb to his homestead.

He looks at his task,
a mountain with no end,
and begins his journey graciously.

Be willing.
Be gracious.
Mountains recognize purity,
and this one here, has folded over.

A compromise of two warriors.
The warrior traveler and the warrior protector.
Each providing insight and each standing on circular waves,
penetrating slightly, only at first,
and then deeper wounds develop.

The struggle begins.
A struggle of heart,
of impossible odds,
with gains that will be washed away on their deaths.

The warrior does not question pain,
but faces his death at every moment, with an open tear falling
onto these stones that have no voice to express their truth.
A tear is all that is needed to build the voice within,
and it will give way once the feeling creshendos.

Of course this picture painted, does not exist.
Maybe in other alternate realities,
where I've chosen to meet my grave with a brush,
but this life I wil die with a pen engraved in my heart.

And this picture painted, will be the feeling of life,
penetrating into the core of heart,
and my experiences will tell the story of God and laughter.
And all will be loved.

I will continue to sweep the stairs every morning
before she wakes up,
so that she would think that the leaves from falling trees,
and dead cigerette butts, don't exist in this place.
And that every morning, she will wake up with a fresh awakening,
and find it all clear, and see the palm trees towering over,
as if nothing had ever happened.

And I will watch this moment,
feeling a deep appreciation for these reminders of heart.
And I wil step forward holding her,
with my arms around her waiste, and my lips kissing her neck.

I pity those who have not yet read this piece. They're missing out. We can learn so much from you zenmind. As of now, after the third time I have read this, I still cannot formulate words suitable enough to submit. More when they do come! lol. Much love, as always! Take care. And may the warrior march on... Loved it.

Stephy.

A very thoughtful and insightful write - those lines are my favorite, and would that we all met life with the same willingness and graciousness.

Thanks for sharing this.

Wow...
this is amazing.
I loved the images I got from this poem.
Well written, a few typos here and there but we all do that from time to time.
There are just so many lines in this I could quote.
Beautiful, awesome poem. I very thoroughly enjoyed this.
Loved it.
Arden
