Our First Snowy Day.

Contributed by heartfilledblood on Wednesday, 1st December 2004 @ 12:30:04 PM in AEST
Topic: NaturePoetry

Snowflakes fall
To cover everything in all
The white powderchill
As you try and catch one for your mouth to fill

Everything in sight
Seems so silent and still
As the trees are mixed with colors bound
For miles of endless powder that blanket our ground

The clouds even rest
Not like that angry dark grey mess
But a seemingly lighter cover
That sends its blanket in little bits of wonder

When the sun breaks through
Our blanket slowly removed
As our land begins to sparkle
Like those jewels that always twinkle

The snow starts to melt
It brings a beauty a new
The air so clean
As the trees so green
Even the deer are more cheerful
For nothing can eb fearful
Of our first snowy day
