A Beautiful Cutter

Contributed by Doriens_Picture on Wednesday, 1st December 2004 @ 01:34:08 AM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

She was there again
Laying down on bathroom floor
Leaning her weight against the toilet seat
Alone and feeling with out a friend
She had been cutting her self again
Bleeding from the wrist
Feeling sick and very weak
Feeling so ugly she had been fasting for a week
Her skin was so pale and looked so thin
There is a pool of tears on the seat
Where she rested her head crying
In the background a hundred feet away
You can hear her parents fighting
Forgetting she was even alive
It was not her fault that her father was about to leave
But she still felt that way in the end
She felt that she was not enough to make him stay
And all she wanted was to be taken away
Far away to a better place
Where no emotions could exist
You can see the pain in her heart reflected on her face
And her tears have left a trace
All because she felt so ugly and needed someone
To tell her it’s not her fault
And that she was so very beautiful
Because the truth is that she is
Was it so much for her to want
Her family to get along and to be happy
Is it so much that she needs someone to hold her
Taking away the cold in heart with warmth
Some one to tell her that she is pretty and to
Help her see the beauty inside so she could see her wings
These are all very simple needs
And she feels worthless without them
She feels like she is not enough and will never be
Not for anyone not for her father not for me
But that can’t be further from the truth
Because has become everything to me
And her mother needs her very much
But she feels like dieing
But she really does not want to
She just wants to be saved
I want to do everything I can to keep her from
Being another beautiful cutter
Who took her own life
Because she did not know the truth

I loved this write so much....
it was the best poem I have ever read!....
it brouoght tears to my eyes, it's so powerul and sad,
I can't really relate, but
I know that one of my friends can, I know she thinks this way and she has tried to take her life before, I am so happy she didn't die.
Everytime I look at her I know this is how she thought and how she may still feel. I hope she doesn't but she may.

Thnx you for writing this.

Great write!

amazing and brilliant write. i loved this one. especially without the spaces like you usually have in it. its easier to read and see rhymes and stuff for me. since im such a rhyme freak =] i felt the emotion you put into this. i can understand writing a poem fueled by inspiration of someone close to you and peoples emotions in their other poems. do you ever fail in writing?
