Transparent mirror

Topic: Lifepoems

This forgotten dream reminds me of
the paint that peels when wet.
The paint that sticks to your finger nails
and marks an embrace with its smell.

Don't struggle.
It will only rub in deeper.
Deep clean.
A satisfying glimpse of what might be.

Don't stare.
Your eyes will be fixed on the unmoving air particles that spread
onto your fixed ideas and fixed perception.
You aren't even here, so don't speak like you know.

It will be a harsh realization when the air transfroms
into fire and you burn with the last thought of
"What? What was that?"
A dream.

You will know when you wake up into the next fear.
a fear forgotten.
Don't try to correct your misgivings
because you will only create more dissatisfaction.

Don't sleep with your eyes open,
waiting for predators to strike because
you will become a zombie
who thrives on its own blood and pain.

You will sink into the sand
and you will feel like your soul is being swept away
into the next ocean wave, and you will stand there
alone,
unmoving,
stainless,

A transparent mirror

Really nice. I can really...see...what the words say.

There are some very wise teachings in this that most people would be good to heed. The 4th stanza was very well put. Good write.

Zenmind, my friend, you have done it again! Delcious till the very end! Enchanting, and oh, so much wisdom I find in these words that you weave so flawlessly!! Incredible lines, magnificent emotion, leaking through the monitor, and reverberating through my soul... I love it. A spectacular example of perfection.

This forgotten dream reminds me of
the paint that peels when wet.
The paint that sticks to your finger nails
and marks an embrace with its smell.

Expressions alone cannot describe how beautiful this is. Zenmind, you have such a unique way of describing things, and expressing your feelings. A grand second post for the seemingly infinite time you have been away. Again, so glad that you're back!! Much love! Forever,

Your dearest friend,

Stephy. *FdS*
