DANCING EMBERS

Last night I gazed at the roaring fire,
Radiating warmth from the fireplace;
Mesmerized by the dancing embers,
Popping, bouncing at a fevered pace.

I began to wonder, is this like love;
For it begins with just a spark.
Building to a raging inferno,
Dancing embers filling ones heart.
