Out of the darkness shines a glimmer of hope.
Nothing to extinguish the monsoon of pain,
but maybe enough to get me through the night.
Gift of a compliment to one so rarely seen
--When will I have the honor of repaying my debt?
So few words altered my state of mind,
so that now I feel cleared of the haze invading my brain.
Is it really anything meaningful?
Do you really know the thoughts you think are
flowing so swiftly?
Be sure; Be sure--for if you are, you shall
surely be blessed with an abundance of any and all
gifts I can give.
And if you aren't, then your emotions will
swell and cause the dam to break, leaving a
torrid path of destruction behind you.
But for now, I give alms for what you have
done for my peace of mind.
You have proven to me that, yes, I can be ok,
That you will make me ok.

| interesting choice of words there: 'do you really know the thought you think you are/flowing so swiftly?' what do you mean by that? Great poem. nice altimatim towards the end. |
