How Can You

Contributed by xXluckie_lynnXx on Monday, 29th November 2004 @ 06:24:16 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

How Can You?

How is it possible to be living here today?
When the entire world has turned its back on you
Why when you look upwards towards the endless sky
You see no heaven, only endless blue?

How can you love somebody
So much it hurts?
How can people devote their whole lives
To the one they had to search

How can you kiss somebody
And not know they feel the same intense emotion
How can you look into your partner’s eyes?
And not know their amount of devotion

How can people today
Just turn their backs on the ones they love
Moving on with their life
And never look above

Because when you leave somebody
Who truly loved you
Their soul is crying
Look up and the heavens are too

Because only when you will see
The love that was present
Will the sky turn bright
Sunshine, things will be pleasant
How can you move with your life
When you life was your partner?
You’d have a rush of adrenaline just to say his name
But now your soul has no laughter

It’s hard to move on
But to step forth you have to
Because what you are doing is right
And you know its true

You may want to hide in the shadow
And never come back out in the sun
Your tears and memories are the past
Your new life has begun

So take the hand that is extended to you
When your life is going to begin
The hand will help you on your paths
And will never try to hurt you again.

* So many people are hurt today. Their love decides unexpectly to move on. The people who got hurt may find in impossible to move on, but there is always a way. I’m not trying to preach but please just listen to me. When you are hurt come out and begin a new life. God will always be there for you *

Life does have that nasty habit of continuing when it's least desirable. When she leaves (Usually at random) there are boxes to be packed, phone calls to make, deposits the haggle over, and lots of crying to be done. But it does go on. There is nothing we can do to stop it (sort of). I hope your poem makes getting on with life easier for others, as it has made it easier for me. A great read, I thank you.

Again another great poem Cuz. This poem has so much truth to it. I love matt with my all of my heart and he is my everything. He is my life. I get the best feeling and the biggest smile on my face just hearing his name. It is hard to move on and I do believe the saying if someone once loved you they will always love you. I am so gald Matt and I are back together. I know you and Eric will last. You better keep him cause I like him Lynn!

love~n~stuff
