Itsy Bisty Spider

Contributed by N0body on Monday, 29th November 2004 @ 06:17:00 PM in AEST
Topic: toughstuff

I once knew a girl, who claimed to be a bug,
She told me a story that I could not shrug.

She told me she wanted to get to the top,
And for a while she was able to go without stop.

A journey was her plan, to get what she crave,
But a destination was what she really would want and rave.

And she said that she was doing it, she was almost there,
But then something happened, and she went into despair.

The fell down the ladder, down, down she fell,
Down through her success, into the gates of hell.

But she said, I’m a spider, can’t you see?
Tne story of the spider is happening to me.

I was the spider, climbing up the water spout,
Then down came the rain and washed me all out.

I am the spider whose hope are her legs,
I’ll get back up there, even if I use pegs.

Because I now wait for the sun to dry up all the rain,
So this itsy bitsy spider can climb up the spout again.
