once when i was little,
i wanted to be just like you
you were my hero
you saved me from pain
and protected me from evil
i looked up to you...
but not anymore..
i see you for what you are
the ' true you '
you have to let go...
you can't hold on forever...
but before i go i just wanted to tell you...
i'll be safe so you don't have to worry
and you won't have to protect me anymore..
because no one can hurt me..
and i want you to know even if you
can no longer kiss me good-night
i'll be back everynight to wake you
with my kisses and to help you
sleep sound knowing your baby
will protect you now...
and watch over you for as long as you live...
i'll always be your little girl...
you don't have to cry anymore...
