Look at my face
Ignore the strain in my voice
And the blood streaming down my leg
Ignore the invisible tears
I know you see them
I feel the heat
Radiating from your body to mine
I hear the space closing in
Within seconds you are me
And I am you
Your books are written
Published with care
Written to perfection
And the dedication I see
Is to the girl you hate
Almost as much as you love
