The Visitor

It was the early hours
When all was quiet & still
Woken by screaming
Someone shouting MUM!

My heart was racing
No time to think
It came from the bathroom
She was stood on the toilet, holding the sink

What ever has happened ?
Do you feel unwell?
She looked at me fightened
But i still couldnt tell

Oh mum
I was using the bathroom
It came under the door
A mouse soooo big ,It wasnt small
She was very clear.....
I'm not going to bed, untill it is found
I wouldn't settle,with that thing running around

We didn't find him on that night
The poor thing ran fast
All that screaming, probably gave him a fright!

Two weeks past by
He had the run of the house
There was loads of sightings
Of that darn mouse
There were signs under the sofa & under the chair
Little black droppings everywhere

A solution to this had to be sought
That darn mouse had to be caught!

It happened again in the middle of the night!
She screamed again !What a fright
Its in my room!
She yelled, as she ran past
Right this is it
I'll have to act fast

I went to the shed to get that big box
As alan put on armour of joggers & socks
In we both went ,determined as hell!
He was only small but...boy could he run
And at 2am it wasnt much fun!

An hour & a bit had gone by
He ran so fast i was sure he could fly
An olympic runner he was like
We must of looked such a funny sight!

Thought he'd drive us around the bend
But we got him in the end!
We let him run free ,over the road
He was a pain, but a sweet little chap
We couldnt have caught him in a trap.
