The Mind Of A Serial Killer

Contributed by parkman on Sunday, 28th November 2004 @ 04:56:55 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

I hear voices, I hear demons
Ranting, raving, constant screaming
Telling me about mankind
Telling me, myself to find
……………………………

Part 1-The Sport

I got my first gun, when I was eight
Started hunting animals, it felt great
Skinned and stuffed them, sat them on plaques
This was my trophies, for my attacks

I got older, weary, wanted more
Bought a gun, with a bigger bore
Sport so small, now would grow
Like the voices, told me so

Went to the church, climbed the steeple
Looked below at, the ant like people
Took careful aim, pulled the trigger
My first kill, of a motherly figure

……………………………….......

Part 2- A New Thought

That night I got ready, to hunt once more
Went out to my car and opened the door
Driving to a lay by, the couple were sitting
Never seen me arriving, in love they were smitten

Two shots later, the couple lay dead
A neat bullet hole, in their heads
Still holding hands, I felt no remorse
The voices said son, this is your course

The count was rising, I continued my spree
But there was still an emptiness, inside of me
Something was missing, from my sport
I needed a trophy, it opened a new thought

………………………………..........................

Part 3- Always Glad To See Me

The body count now stood, at fourteen
Papers had named me, the killer unseen
Now a new role to fulfil, in all my glory
The papers would have, a new twist to the story

Once more I got ready, to have some fun
Drove to my parents, always glad to see their son
Walked into the dining room, kissed them hello
Had a drink, talked about the killer, little did they know

One shot fired, dads blood does flow
Mum turns and screams, my god , son no
A bullet later, she joins him on the floor
The voices say son, you have the highest score

………………………………........................

Part4- No More Voices

I carried them to the room, where I once played
Everything intact, mum threw nothing away
I slit them open, with my hunting knife
Then started the process, of preserving life

I stitched them back up, taking great care
Took them downstairs, sat them in their chairs
My collection complete, from start to finish
Suddenly the voices ceased, this was my diminish

You caught up with me, quickly after the attack
Took me to the station, I never fought back
Lead me to my death, lead me to the chair
I’m free from the voices, of death and despair
