The splinter in my heart

Grief

Being watched,
He knows
Feels the love
Never was outgrown
I see him there,
Arms length way
I wish there were words to say.
Each moment taken in
Like no tomorrow,
Knowing that soon
It will be sorrow.
Ache within
Afraid to see
What life would be like
What will happen to me.
Seeing him
Loving him
Wanting him to be
Alive and well
Forever and a day
That would be getting my way
Wanting him to stay.
No words can express
The love that I feel
But I can feel this pain
Stronger it will
Good-byes will be hard
The door that will be hard to enter,
The heart will bleed because of the splinter.

this is indeed a sad poem, and it seems to (if possible) force empathy and show us how you feel in a way. |
