I was walking
A lonely road
Until you stepped off
Busy lane.
As I walked
Down my lonely road
And into
Walls of lies,
Holes of fear
You were there.
By my side.
Steered me by the walls,
Dropped me the ropes to climb from the holes.
Gave me every hug
You knew I would need.
You led me off
My lonely road
To a path full of people.
Full of Friends.
Dripped in hardship,
Splattered with worry,
Dotted with lies.
But as we pass through
The drips, the splashes, the drops
I know I will make it
With you at my side.

The beginning of the poem is a little hard to follow, I think, especially because you cut off sentences and continue them on the next line, the beginning is a little confusing.
However, the cutting of sentences in the end doesn't bother that much and the end is actually pretty good. |
