I keep her locked in a cupboard
And I take her out to sing each night
She drifts me to sleep
As her sad songs are a lullaby
Her chains bind her
As once more she steps back behind those doors
Closes them with a creak
and I drift off to sleep.
She scratches at her arms
with her long sharpened nails
trying in vain to rip them from her body
and escape her caged life.
She falls unconcious from the blood
Another night of failing
And I will never let her leave
--Her singing keeps me prisoner.

Awesome poem!
It's as if both are prisoner's
She by physical means
He by mental(emotional means)
Very Deep!
(It sort of intensifies the whole Calypso and Odysseus situation)
Love 4 Ever. Your Husband ^_^ |
