I dreamt of you last night
That fire in your eyes
Blinded me from sleep
Where did you take me?
You drove down such familiar roads
Places you and me have been and gone
I saw things so differently
with you here to guide me.
I dreamt of you last night
That magic in your smile-
the way we communicated
without exchanging words.
I forgot we we such easy friends,
Before we let the outside in
If I could sleep forever
Could I keep you here beside me?
