I am your mistake.
He.. hurts you.. and you stumble to the door. You fall over all the lies he's thrown at you over the years. You cry, outside on the porch.. because you feel safe in the dark. It feels like he doesn't care, but you just keep believing. You lean against the door.. praying he doesn't open it. He shatters your heart with his eyes.. saying he loves you. You don't know whether to believe him or leave... so, you stay. A few days pass, and everything's still the same. ...and you cry your eyes out in your car. You feel dead to the world.. and sit outside, in safe darkness.. where you can't see the future. You say you love him.. and you tell me you do. Maybe.. all of this is a nightmare.. and, he really is everything you need in life.. I knock on your door, and you tremble.. in fear of who stands behind. ..you know deep inside.. you're living a lie.

This is really upsetting, it's a shame so many people live like that. They really are living a lie. Great write.
