Sometimes I breathe you in

And I think I should confess all the things

I didn’t want to feel

Things I didn’t know I was capable of feeling

Maybe this is the Afterglow

That Morning Star that rested in your eyes

Maybe

And I’m breathing you in

And somehow I know

I may have gently touched you

I’m not sure

I remember the taste on my lips

There’s so much to remember

And I’m the gingered hair girl dancing on the ice

I went past the bars and into your cell

Say you know the truth

Say it

I’ll confess

Please

Once…

I knew your heart

You condemn me for my insurrections

Yet I cannot condemn you for yours
