Coldest heart won't seem to warm
even though it seems to only burn
but all it does is cause more harm
broken during its own ascending turn.
Never reached to feel life
when surviving just felt like strife
caught beneath the dull bladed knife
a day that ended well kept belief.
No future to look forward to.
No past to break free of.
And chains break like walls
as souls shatter inside eternities halls
echoing the revival of have to's.
Waiting, sometimes, for that kiss
so long
the one that freely binds.
But of course
such fairytales
do not exist.

I thought that this was very well written. I know that I'm still waiting, and I can only wish that I didn't have a past that makes me want to break free. Keep writing
