Sometimes I sit and wonder, Do you know Im still around?
Im living my life day by day, just wanting to be found.
A part of you is with me still, It'll be there till the end,
A lifetime of questions unasnwered, a broken heart is hard to mend.
Never understanding the reason why, we are still family, you and I.
You gave me life, you gave me love,
it's the best choice you could've made.
I will always have a love you for you, A love that will not fade.
I'm married now, I have a son-
I have a wonderful life,
I am the daughter of two women, a mother and a wfe.
I think about you daily, wonder if you feel the same.
Im not just some sad memory,
Ima a someone with a name.
So if you ever wonder what had become of me,
My door is open, and so is my heart,
if it is meant to be.

Wow! This is soo crazy. I totally relate to this. I too am adopted. I recently got married and had my baby. And having him made me think even more about my biological mother... It used to hurt me on Mother's day to know that there is a woman out there that I could be celebrating with... but I LOVE my adoptive parents so much i am happy with her decision. Thank you so much for sharing this personal piece with me. I really liked it! |
