My Dreamland

Contributed by lunartune on Thursday, 25th November 2004 @ 02:21:08 PM in AEST
Topic: mystical

My Dreamland

The night wraps its shadowy arms around me
and pulls my heart into the land of dreams.
I watch my sprit leap from cloud to
cloud in pursuit of the garden of life.
My soul is a flower blossoming and
expelling into the universe around it.
My thoughts float around me; their beliefs
and meanings as clear to me as the window
pane through witch I view my life.
My eyes project a sparkling glittery
pattern all about me and the glow of this
dreamland is a grand moonlight.
The stars float around me swinging
on their invisible swings.
The clouds are as supportive
as a marble dance-floor,
and yet as translucent as air.
I am draped in the scents of roses
and bathed in moonlight.
The air around me is scented with jasmine.
I’ve lost the world and have no memory
of my past life. Water cascades
about my feet and calm the narrow
minded souls. My skin is soft as the clouds
that I walk upon and my hair sweeps behind
me as I walk. My robes billow out behind me
as I glide around the dream world.
Smoke twirls about me and calls to my senses.
The world asks me to wake so that I can
greet the day.

well put together rhyme. I liked the flow and evenness of this poem. bernard.
