I reach out for your hand, but only to touch your heart
Underneath the nightlight, the feeling is real;
This is what my dreams are made of
But something is wrong, as your hand starts pulling away
I now understand how you feel, it’s not the same way
As you back away, your eyes start to tear
There is something you want to say
But it’s not really quite clear
I wish you would love me, as if I were him
I wish you would see me, more than just a friend
