Horizons shimmer in a silver view,
How sparkles drip down cheeks in hurried race,
The edge draws back from arms that try anew,
And bone hard dreams like shards that crack take place.
Ambition swells around an injured heart,
And fantasy will burst from bubb’ling spring,
While dire doubts do wait below to start,
The tortures yearned and prized as golden rings.
How often fields of clouds appear to stall,
For rays of light to leave and swiftly soar,
But showers soothe the wounds from many falls,
And harsh beams make the healings burn and roar.
The raindrops sing softly in shifting sky,
Yet twin’kling stars of hope in dusk do lie.
