cold and broken

There was a time when you let me know,
What’s really going on in your life,
But now you never show that to me do you,
I’ve been here so many times before,
I’ve walked right through that open door,
I used to be alone until I knew you,
But love is not a blissful song,
You give yourself and it all goes wrong,
And every love you try to rescue,
It’s sends a cold and a broken feeling through you.

I used to love with all my heart,
But all it did was tear me apart,
You find your love and you think its true,
But they don’t even look you,
And then you’ll cry all through the night,
And it's not somebody who's seen the light,
Who hears the call,
And catches you before fall,
And then you see what love can be,
And you go back to love so happily,
Until you feel so cold and broken don’t you.
