And the cello played

The cello played softy, cutting through their mourning like nothing I’ve ever seen before.
Their sad faces no longer swelling and blotchy, but young as I used to know them to be. The pathetic, emotional expressions blown away by a pleasantly content smile, but behind closed eyes their souls are crying not even the cellos song could stop that.
But sad be not all those who heard the cellos song, who listen to the naked beauty of the instrument. Death long forgotten, blackness cast aside, be it for just one moment and the cello played.
