Sometimes I think about everything I was taught,
About right and wrong,
About good and evil.
Sometimes I make no sense of all I know.
I doubt all my parent have ever said,
And all my teachers have ever preached.
Sometimes I look in a mirror,
And see everyone else's dreams staring back.
I see nothing but a badly drawn girl,
Waiting to erase her past,
Of careless mistakes
And apathetic relationships.
Sometimes I imagine a place
Where memories are forgotten
Where castles are built
And where no one has heard of the word erstwhile.
And where there has never been lie,
But then i realize there would be too hurt.

I like the style of this...you have a good thought process and it was an all around good poem. |
