Im afraid

Contributed by Kitty_cat on Wednesday, 24th November 2004 @ 02:14:35 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Im afraid of being alone
Of being far from home
I'm afraid of dark corners
Where evil creatures roam

I'm afraid of embarrassing times
Of fairytale endings in nursery rhymes
I'm afraid of long dark alleys
Where perverts commit their crimes

Im afraid that I shall grow old
And my heart shall still be deathly cold
Im afraid of having no-one there
Of having no hand to hold

I'm afraid of my doomed fate
Of the hell-hole I'll soon create
I'm afraid of going crazy
Of being in a psychological state

I'm afraid that you'll never forgive
Without you I can't live
Im afraid of regretting forever
Leaving the life no-one else can give

Im afraid of never forgetting you
Of always feeling sad and blue
Im afraid of you always hovering
Over everything I do

Im afraid of being alone
Of being far from home
Im afraid of those dark corners
Where old memories of you roam...

Very well expressed. I thank you for the effort it took to rhyme this one. I like it - it resonates well with me and my own fears . . .

Keep writing.

Well done. Great rhyming. Lots of emotion flowing - you can really feel what you're trying to say.
