Sing

Contributed by socialburnin on Wednesday, 24th November 2004 @ 11:53:37 AM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

So now Ill sing to you my sorrow
Does someone have a voice that I can borrow?
Cause mines gone
Gone away
Ill take a drink for the road
Quell the stomach acid churning in my throat
The bars quiet
Way too quiet
Im a sucker for one liners
Then Ill wake up with a shiner
You always said
Id end up dead

So Ill pick a fight with a homeless man
And look for someone to knock me in the sand
And Ill go fishing for some trouble
I hate to burst your perfect bubble
But there was something you forgot
When you packed up and you took away my khat
You always said the dawn was red
But its nothing like you told your friends
Its kinda purple
Like my scars

So now Im drowning in the bottle
And I look old like Aristotle
Theres no sun
No sun today
I'm so sick of all your quirks
How you loved to call me everyday at work
I cant see
Can you breathe?
And I know you broke my radio
So its only tuned to stations that you know
Todays the day
It ends this way
