I just want to say Merry Christmas to you fine people of, Your Poetry Dot Com. However, You have all made this poet very sad by not commenting on my poetry so I shall take my talents to my other sites of poetry where I have great respect for my creations of word art. I will no longer be posting my poetry on this site and must now say good bye. As I part, I have just one tiny request for all of you. As you create and post your poetry for others to read, please remember its your feed back that inspires fellow poet's and its a respectful need. Do not worry, as my creative pens ink will continue to flow, so my beautiful poetry will grow and grow. Mickey Pig Knuckles

I don't mean to be rude, but it says, rather clearly, on the submissions page that every member is to make three comments for every one poem they post. You've made 106 comments and 97 posts-- not exactly a 3:1 ratio. Considering that you post far, far more poems than one for every three comments you make, I should think you'd be grateful for the comments --which are not, in comparison to many on YPDC, a particularly meager amount-- you receive, rather than choosing to leave simply because you've not gotten the comments you seem to feel you deserve. Follow the rules, meet the requirements, contribute, do YOUR part, and then you may expect and deserve something in return. Not until then.
Merry Christmas, best of luck with your poetry. May you prosper on your other sites of poetry.

sorry to see you go but I must agree with Nora. There are also times when noone gets many comments and you shouldnt let it bother you that much Im sure noone here is trying to hurt your feelings if your new it takes awhile but anyway enjoy your holidays and keep writing

I'm rather new to this site and have'nt read any of your writes. And I belong to four differnt sites this one to me is the best by far. Just give it more of a chance. Words written words said shall last the test of time all poets are great even if the words don't rime all the time.

Mickey,
I have to agree with Nora on this one, it does take some time before your poems get noticed. I remember my first time no one was reading my stuff but as i keep on submitting people started to read. So dont give up yet, your such a good writer and ill be such a loss for some of us to see you go. Hope you have a merry holidays.

I want to be on your side, but I don't think it's right to say people aren't appreciating you when you're so...silent yourself. I've read some other people who have the same problem, but they don't complain; it's weird that you do. I'm sorry to hear you're removing yourself from this site, though...
Shadowdaughter is right about the comments, and I guess you can't say such things without being accused... Her words remind me oddly of EternitysLyre, for some reason, too... Weird... So...serious and to the point, I think?

shame to see you go, you just have to be patient, when i first came to the site i didnt get many comments or reads, until people noitce you and your poetry gets recognised, I read alot of your work and it was very good,

Sometimes it depends on what you put on the title or the comment section that gets people to read it just depends what moods everyones in & what kind of poem thrir looking to read! Dont get upset it happens to the best of us! I've been on here a while I know theres times I get 1 comment and others 10 so dont give up just yet! Try again!!!!

i would have to agree with you... i am also one that never gets any comments back.. i look and i have 10 or so reads but still no feed back.. it is very discouraging.. but i would like to say i really enjoyed reading your poems.. and honestly i will miss them.. im sorry i never commented on them before.. but i just read them... i hope you give it another shot though.. and if not i would Defiantly like to know where else you have your poems posted because i would like to read more...
( its funny how people took time to write about this one)
