A promise we made long ago
To tell one another everything
We said it'll make us stronger
And trust to us, it shall bring
I've kept my part of the bargain
But to me, you did lie
You didn't keep your promise
Now I want to know why
You said you could tell me anything
Like I could to you
Now you've gone and done this
Something I never thought you could do
Why didn't you tell me?
You've really hurt me bad
Everything wonderful ruined
Everything good I thought we had
I don't know if I could ever believe you
No matter what you say
Not sure if I could ever trust you again
In the same loving way
But no matter how much you hurt me
Or how much you say you don't care
My love for you is eternal
For you. . . I'll always be there

Sad but true. Trust is the hardest earned commodity in a relationship, and the easiest to lose.
Well rhymed, Tamara.
Thanks for sharing it. |
