Topic: insomniac

I fall without grace
as thoughts of you consume
sleeps become a fight
the same scenarios repeating
without an end in sight
I cling to the threads
of an invisible rope
refusing to let go
of unraveling hope
struggling in the dark
hard to see through blood-shot eyes
searching for the off switch
to the reel inside my mind
why can't I rest in peace?
it's such a simple task
can't I close my eyes just once
without these questions to ask?

why?

what if?

how come?

I can't seem to let you go
I'm falling without grace
with nowhere left to go
