Time To Go Home

Time to go home

I can not give you the reasons,
why we lose the ones we love.
But I do know one thing
and its right from god above.
Our time here as we know it,
really isn't all that long.
Seems when you start to understand,
its then God calls you home.
We all have our Parents,
because that is the way it's meant to be.
Did you know that we choose them?
Now I know you may not agree,
but each of us are given
our chance to pave our life.
Yes we pick our own siblings,
husbands and our wives.
Now you may be thinking
that this just can not be,
but when we do this,
it's a lesson that we need.
One time or another,
there was something that we chose,
that did not turn out right.
Not everything does you know.
So when it's time to go,
we ourselves are our judge.
Are we happy how we lived?
Or shall we return and rise above.
Its up to us you see,
if we come back again,
and every time we do,
we take a higher stand.
Until we reach the top
and sit right by his side,
and know implicit Love
and understand just why he died.
we will be rewarded then,
and live in perfect love.
Forever in his embrace of light
like a shining star above.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
