my risks never seem to pay off

Stupid ideas, rash choices,
It involved too many chances.
I left it for him to read,
This kept me worried.
I hardly got a response, a couple of smiles, no words,
My mood moved even further downwards.
I shouldn’t have been talked into it,
I did feel rather split.
Should have reclaimed it when I still had time,
But instead I chose to give him my rhyme
The lack of response makes me feel worthless,
Now completely full of bleakness.
All I can think is that you wish not to have a discussion,
Tomorrow I will take a bit more precaution….

I can relate to this feeling completely.
You know what...a guy who won't take the time to say something in response isn't worth your time. There's better out there.

Don't always take mens' reaction at face value. I have learned from experience, especially when giving them some written material. I have surprised a man or two silent in my day. I hope everything works out for, and at least now the worst part-the wondering- is over, it's his move, no?
