Confession

Contributed by Tamara on Monday, 22nd November 2004 @ 10:33:45 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

I don't know how to say this
In any other way
I can't do this without hurting you
But it's something I have to say
For I have found another
Someone other than you
I knew I would end up hurting you
That's something I never wanted to do
But I knew I must break my silence
And confess that it's you I did deceive
I will pack my bags soon
I'll get my things and leave
I know you must despise me
For the pain that I have caused
I would not blame you
If you throw me out the doors
I don't expect forgiveness
That's something I don't deserve
The only thing I ask of you
Is the happy memories, you must preserve
Though I have hurt you
You need to move on
There's no point hanging on to something
Which is long gone
You will find another
Who will share your life
He will treat you like a goddess
You will become his wife
He will take you places
Show you things you've never seen before
He will take your pain away
And then you won't feel hurt anymore

I think it's really awesome that you can write from your father's point of view, shows strength and maturity. Awesome write, sucks that the subject is so sad.
