Sleep is very precious to me
For I am deprived of it most nights
My nightmares keep me screaming and crying
And soiling my pants from frights
Without you sleep I am totally useless
Left vulnerable to the devil's eye
Seeing his new toy, he jumps for joy
And begins to darken my sky
Seeon I'll be a slave to his unforgiven treachery
I will leave this earth and never come back
With a rusty knife and permant hole in my heart
I will finally make up for the sleep that I lack

| interesting poem. very expressive. i doubt that the devil is involved though, it doesnt take satan for every bad thing to occur. |

| it depends what 'Satan' really is, but thats a different story. This was a poem that I can relate to at times, because I suffer from insomnia a few weeks out of the year. I can relate to this poem very easily, and what made it so much better was that it gave u the extremities of what it can do to a person. well done. |
