Thanksgiving comes but once a year,
Families unite from far and near,
Everyone gathers like years before,
All are welcome ~ All and more,
The turkey is baking as did the pies,
The aroma brings in little spies,
Wanting handouts and sneaking bites,
Thanksgiving gives us wonderful sights,
The house is loud with stories retold,
Laughing and joking a sight to behold,
Pushing, shoving and playing around,
This is how Thanksgiving sounds,
The kids set the table and find their seat,
It’s almost time for the Thanksgiving feast,
First and fore most, It’s time to give Thanks,
To He the Almighty ~ To He who outranks,
From Indians and Pilgrims ~ Thanksgivings bestowed,
A holiday passed down ~ That feeds the soul.
*HAPPY THANKSGIVING*

Your writes are like a breath of fresh air tucked in amongst all the broken hearts and suicide threats. I'm so glad I discovered your poetry and will be looking for it in the future.
