I Can't Scream Any Louder

Contributed by iluvpencils on Sunday, 21st November 2004 @ 11:19:29 PM in AEST
Topic: political

I can't scream any louder than this
All I'm asking for
Is someone to put my trust in
Take away the lies
That others refuse to realize
Give me something I can believe in
A shoulder to rest my head on

I saw this on TV again
I groaned and turned away
Begging for time to turn back
To the way thing were back then

I vowed to stand up and fight
But I can't scream
Any louder than this
So I will
I will keep fighting anyway

I will scream
At these newspapers
Scream at this TV
Scream for someone to put my hope in

Well, this poem definitely screamed at me :) I can really relate to what you're saying here. Trust is a very precious commodity and it's very hard to find someone you can trust without any inhibitions. Loved this poem. :)

I like this line especially. My husband has HIV and that is what I keep telling him. Never give up the fight :) And trust is very important.
