I Died Tonight

Contributed by CrimsonTears on Sunday, 21st November 2004 @ 10:34:26 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

My hearts beating has now stopped
To the floor I slowly dropped
My heart has shattered all over the place
Couldn’t you see the pain in my face

You sat there as though nothing was wrong
I tried so hard to just be strong
But I could not endure anymore pain
It was making me go completely insane

Because of you I died tonight
You took away my only light
Now I walk around as though I were dead
All because you wouldn’t see the tears I shed

I cut myself to be sure I’m still alive
I don’t know how much longer I will survive
Without my heart I’ll surely die
I feel so dead I can’t even cry

Why do you insist on hurting me
Is there some type of pleasure that you see
Is this all some kind of game to you
If it is, you won, its true

You have managed to hurt me the most
Now to all you can surely boast
Laugh and joke do what you please
Because now my life has ceased

Fantastic poem. It tells a story and the reader can visulise the pain, the words are so vivid. Men are cruel fools. You'll find a man to treat you how you should be. Be strong.
