Ruca Saw Red

Contributed by darkplaidbabe on Sunday, 21st November 2004 @ 09:05:25 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

Ruca saw red
In this darkest of ages
Little did she know
He loved her more than ever
Foolish though he was
To taste that sinful fruit of pleasure
Saw it was bitter and tainted and fled
But…

Ruca saw red
Wanted sweet revenge
And so did the same
Committed the crime
In a déjà vu frame.
She was sure he would forgive
After all he had done it too
And life without love was none too easy to live
He knew her selfish motive
And seeing the arrogance in her eyes, he turned away
A fire began to burn beneath her exterior
And still he had nothing to say
And Ruca saw red

Perhaps she simply went crazy
Her vision became dark and hazy

It was a crime of passion
No one was to blame
The twelve reapers listened as the man in the suit explained
Harm was not meant
But things turned sour
There was nothing but good intent
Yet the sugary love lost its sweetness
He was wrong in what he did
Still did he deserve this?
The reapers listened with great interest
For everyone loves a good betrayal
Except when they are the ones being betrayed
A man lost his life, they said
A man, who was alive and well, is dead.
But why?
The man tries to veil the truth, but we all know
The secret to this magicians show
He says she was helpless, simply out of her head
But truth be told ladies and gents, that man was murdered because
Ruca saw red.

An interesting story, well written. I like how the ending ties it all up. Keep writing!
