The past was never so far from your mind
That you could ever forget what happened to you
When you lost the friends you'd know for years
And you lost the boy who rid you of fears
You were left with only your mind
And your sanity was a fleeting thing
I found you there that day you cried
I held you and I wiped your eyes
Both afraid to fall in love
The memories were like an open cut
You could not deal with the pain in your heart
So much that breathing was a chore
And for all my hearts power I could not help you
Because you didn't want to be helped
So you left one day without a word
You ran away or so I heard
Follower your heart out to the sea
And saw the stars shinning brightly
Together we were in soul and mind
Bound together until you died
Falling into a deeping black
You left me behind and never looked back
